Janie Bakes' perfect creation, the Pie Crust Cookie, has been heralded by industry experts and Gothamist.com as one of New York's best cookies. Janie Deegan founded Janie's Life-Changing Baked Goods in 2015. The company was born out of an act of self-care, Janie had struggled with addiction and homelessness, and baking brought great joy to her and everyone who tried her cookies and pies. Janie goes above and beyond in giving back to her NYC community by providing second chance employment, teaching baking classes to underprivileged youth in East Harlem, and donating time and cookies to local community centers and homeless shelters.
