Made from heritage Armagh Bramley apples, Irish Black Butter is a new, award-winning product based on a centuries-old regional recipe that has been updated to reflect modern Irish flavors. The dairy-free preserve includes cider, brandy, treacle and a custom spice blend. As with traditional fruit butters, Irish Black Butter features a delicious, warm aroma and firm texture and makes an ideal accompaniment for cheese and cold meats, for use as a glaze on ham, a spread on toast, or with scones and cream.

This is a FULL-flavored condiment. It is not shy and there are lots of fall flavors going on, including autumn spices, apple cider vinegar, with a hint of licorice - the flavor of apples is in the background. Not overly sweet. It pairs very well with strong cheddar.
