Description

When your lips close around a bite of this strong, salty liquorice, the potent Nordic taste explodes on your tongue, bringing up associations of the sea, tar, bonfire smoke and the scent of resin.

Gluten free- made from gluten free rice flour

Made in Denmark with premium ingredients

- Raw Licorice Roots: The Greek name for licorice is 'Glycyrrhiza glabra', which means 'the sweet root'. This name is no understatement, because in its natural state the licorice root is 30-50 times sweeter than plain sugar. We gather our fine licorice roots from Italy, Afghanistan and the Middle East.

- Salmaik: Salmiak is a unique ingredient, especially used with licorice in the Nordic countries. It has a sour and salty taste compared to regular salt which has a sweet and salty taste.
- Salty Licorice: The potent Nordic taste of strong, salty licorice exploding on your tongue.

I ordered the Lakrids #2 licorice, and was greatly impressed. The price was equal to any other place I found (even cheaper than most), the delivery was on time, and it arrived exactly as described. I would definitely recommend using Chelsea Market, and ordering this licorice!

This is great licorice with just the right level of saltiness. However I wonder how many realize that it costs $19.68 per pound which includes shipping?
